Sous Chef

Entente, a fine dining restaurant in the Lakeview neighborhood, is looking to add an experienced and talented sous chef to join our team. Last year, Entente was honored to join the list of Chicago's Michelin starred restaurants. We are an ever-evolving, "tasting table" - centered restaurant looking for team members dedicated to excellence and continual learning. Ideal candidates will be dedicated to all aspects of hospitality, approaching each situation with a positive attitude and are interested in joining a hard-working team. Requirements to join our team are as follows:

  • at least two years of employment in a fast-paced, chef-driven restaurant 
  • ordering and inventory management 
  • leadership skills
  • communicate with FOH well
  • full-time availability (weekends are required). Entente in open Tuesday - Saturday for dinner service. Closed Sunday and Monday.
  • knowledge of contemporary cuisine
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • take direction and instruction well
  • follow instructions from the team, management and ownership
  • work independently and organize own tasks as well as tasks and projects for team members on the daily
  • good attitude and ability to work well with a team
  • work evenings - Entente is open for dinner only
